Unfortunately I'm not IN Bridport, I'm in Cambridge, but the idea that Ray and Ed will be doing their jokes in my old town is very heartwarming, as it is quite an obscure place to do a show. I'm almost tempted to spend the £80 on train tickets just to witness it, but I think I might get evicted from my flat if I spend so much. It's a lovely part of the world anyway, so I hope you enjoy it.

Tue, 31 May 2011 08:50:29 +0000Tsquared3745@http://peacockandgamble.com/forum/
I know someone posted a link to one of the 'Darwin Awards' given to people that have died in ridiculous circumstances at the start of this thread, but I own one of those books, and here are my 3 favourites. (All are true, I'll find the book and scan in the page if needs be!)

1. One man (in America I think?) stole a vintage WW2 pistol from an old mans house, tried to hold up the local cash and carry. When the cashier refused to hand over the money, CCTV images record the criminal pulling the trigger. Noting immediately happened, so the criminal is seen to turn the gun to his face to look down the barrel. Because the vintage pistol contained vintage ammo, there was a delay in ignition. Long story short, he shot himself in the head!

2. There was a court appearance with a man charged with possession of a live hand grenade which had a 5-metre kill radius. The defendant avidly protested it was fake. Apparently, as the case drew on, the Judge got bored and pulled the pin out of the grenade.

3. And a final quick one- A bloke was pruning a tree, and cut off the branch that he was sitting on - fell to his death.

Hopefully these are useful!

Fri, 25 Feb 2011 18:59:19 +0000Moominpapa2354@http://peacockandgamble.com/forum/
Just arrived back in Newcastle after a brilliant night. Brought a mate of mine along, and was pleased to hear he'd gone through the entire podcast back-catalogue beforehand. Needless to say we both thoroughly enjoyed the show. Stand-out moments for me were probably Ed as the prison guard and Ray as the ugly-duckling.

The pilot screening was ace (hopefully we'll see more soon), and the feedback session was a nice addition; I was the bloke who hypothesized that the old women had left due to the lack of spunk in the show. I was sat behind them and they actually left half way through the interval, during the twitter stuff, which is a bit bizarre.

Can't wait to head back down for the March show. Any news on when the tickets for the other 2 shows go on sale?

And thanks, Ray, for being with it enough to make sense of my comment about the opening/framing device - that was exactly what I was getting at! When Ed said "So you're saying the whole premise of the show is rubbish?" I thought "Oh 'eck..." or something more southern. Really looking forward to seeing how the show evolves over the next few months!

Oh, and though generally you worked better together than apart, the Ugly Duckling bit was *inspired*.
